Wow I can’t believe I’ve only done 2 post on Cams site this whole year! I’ve got to do better! Well it’s 2012 and Cam has started the year off sickness free, yeaaaaaa! We are so excited about that! Prayerfully we can stay on a good path with his health.
Cam saw his first snow today while we was out getting his sister, he was fine with it until we had to get out of the truck. Once we get out it was all she wrote, he hit me all in my head, arching back, kickin the whole nine. In the midst of my beat down, I almost dropped him in which he got mad at me, mind u I’m the one get beat up! You would think it was rain or the bath tub, no it was just freakin snow flurries! Once we get in house he is calm and laughing while I’m cold and mad. He better be glad I love him and he special needs cause I would sit his hinny out doors!

I stole this from a friend who wrote this for her daughter. I came upon this again today and its spoke volumes to me because in this poem for her daughter, she captured all the feelings and love I have about Cameron.
Never thought I could love someone as much as I love him. He is truly my world, and I’m so blessed that God choose me to be him mom!
What do you see when you look at him?
Legs that can’t walk? Lips that can’t talk?
Do you see hands that won’t grasp, but only a few things?
Or a large metal contraption of black and orange?
Do you look and wonder, “Is anyone there?
Does he know? Does he understand?
Does he comprehend? Does he care?”
What do you see when you look at him?
A handsome face with long to die for lashes?
Eyes that won’t look at you or focus on his world?
Do you see a 7-year-old in diapers? Or a child that is different?
Do you bless his heart when you walk by?
Do you wonder what happened? “Could it happen to mine?”
What do you see when you look at him?
A little boy unable to communicate his wants and needs?
I am asked, “How do you even know if he’s thirsty?”
Do you imagine all the things that he can not do?
No hide-and-seek, t-ball, or playing in mud puddles.
Do you hear grunts and baubles that seem to make no sense?
Look and listen harder without eyes or ears.
He is full of life. His sister is his very best friend.
He loves to hear you sing and watch you dance and The Simpsons.
He frowns at Country music, but tends to like Rap.
He hates having his washed, but loves being the center of attention.
What do I see when I look at im?
I see a personality that very few have discovered.
I see a sense of humor unlike any other.
I see glimpses of sight that I capture and hold on to.
“He saw me that time; maybe next time will last longer!”
What do I see when I look at him?
I see a smile that stops the world from turning,
And a laugh that makes everything worth it.
I see a miracle, a joy, a gift, a treasure.
I see the face of God in my son.

Well it’s that time to start taking down Christmas
decorations! There’s two things stopping that from happening….me
being lazy and Cameron not wanting me too. Today at work, the hubs,
keep messaging me about Cameron throwing up a lot and crying.
Cameron’s temperature was checked, everything okay. Not sure what
was wrong. I get off and come home to see my baby still upset and
had thrown up more since his dad had called me. So after I had
settled in from work. We climb on our favorite spot on the couch
and commie grabs her baby and we began to have a little talk while
the other family take a trip to store. While we are having our
discussion, I noticed Cameron staring off at something, which
happened to be the Christmas tree. I asked him if he wanted me to
turn the lights on. He started to get excited and arch and stretch
out as he does when he’s excited. So I obliges him and turn the
tree lights on. No problems for the rest of the evening. Go figure
he was making himself sick and upset because he wanted the tree
lights on and he was frustrated because his dad didn’t know what he
wanted
.

Isnt the lights pretty!

Wow, what better way to bring in the New Year than to be in the presence of God! Although my flesh wanted to go out to a club or somewhere to bring in the New Year, God knew where I needed to be and made sure I was there and I’m forever grateful! If I had of gone out like I really wanted to I would not had been in such a presence of God that flowed through Family Life on New Years Eve!
Tonight was truly awesome! Once again my church, Family Life Christian Church International, did our annual New Years Ever program, Live at the Life. There was singing/rapping, comedy, awards, and a gospel artist, Travis Greene.

Travis Greene Ministries!
If your never been to one make plans to come out this year 2011! Yep its 11 and a half months away, and you already have an invite! So you can’t say, I didn’t invite you
.
Also, during this night 5 little ppl, who go by the names of Ty, Chris, Asya, Tyasia, and Jason AKA Android Exclusive made their dancing debute. Well not really they all have danced together before but it was their debute as Android Exclusive. After over a month and a half of three day a week practices, they finally was going to be able to perform the dance they worked on for so long.
If was so funny seeing them nervous and scared to perform after they boasted each other up about how “beast” they were going to be. Once the music started it was no turning back. I tell ya those kids danced like their lives depended on it. They were excellent! I pray God continues to use this group to minister through dance because they enjoyed it and the church loved it also!

Well 2010 is almost to its end! Wow, this year has gone by pretty fast! Seems like just the other day I was trying to plan what to do for Cameron’s birthday and what we were going to do on our summer vacation.
This years has truly seen its ups and downs. So glad to be putting past things behind and starting anew!
In 2010 we celebrated my mom’s 2nd anniversary of her death, Cameron turning 6, thats a reason in itself to celebrate! Thank you Jesus for keeping my son another yr. We went to the beach for vacation with my brother and his family, had a blast.
The kids and I went to Maryland, (by ourselves) to the HPE conference. Which we are always so blessed to be able to attend. So many old and new faces when got to meet. These are truly times in my life i will never forget. Being around and seeing other children who looks like my son and are going through the same problems as my son, truly a blessing. You dont even know until you have seen it for yourself.
The kids started back to school Cameron in the Kindergarten and Ty in the 8th grade. I cant believe in a few months my daughter will be in high school. Someone shoot me now
. Dont know if im ready for all of that! The woes of a teenage girl, truly not ready.
Then came the holidays which was spent with family which maybe it even better.
As i said so glad to be leaving 2010 in 2010, looking forward to a fresh new start of whatever God has in store for me in 2011.
Dear Heavenly father:
I thank you for all that you had me endure in 2010, It sure hasnt been easy and I’m to blame for some of it. I thank you for the lessons learned during this year. Lord, I leave every tears shed, every pain felt, everything at your feet. I will not carry anything over into 2011. New Year, new start, new everything! Thank you you in advance for what ever blessing and trials you have me face in 2011.
Amen!

On Friday Cameron had his post op appt from his surgery about three weeks ago. His scares are healing nicely, but I think they could have done a better job sewing him back up. The surgery work some what but he is still very tight in his legs.
So now he is being order a brace that he will have to wear at night while sleeping and another brace that he’ll have to wear throughout the day. I’m not sure how he’s going to like that but to keep from surgery again we will try anything. Will update about this when we get his new braces.

Don’t despair over the darkness that is beyond your control. Instead, shine your own light so brightly that the darkness is overwhelmed.

Warren G. Hardy our 29th president of the US, term 1921-1923, lost the White House china in a poker game, was a avid drinker, and had extramarital affairs! And today our nation is in a uproar over whether or not Obama is a Muslim or Christian, Is this really what our nation has come too?

On Facebook, I was posting these things called Thoughts of the Day. They vary from quotes, I made up or someone else made up, something fun, or something to just make your day. Well I have decided to repost them again not only there but here also.
TOD: “You cannot conquer what You don’t confront and You can’t confront what You don’t identify.” We need to identify the problems that has affected our lives.
